Fourth Wall is a collective project led by Andrea Dulbecco, unanimously acclaimed as one of the most important vibraphonists on the international scene. Dulbecco leads a quartet comprised of rising star of European jazz pianism, Simone Locarni, electric bassist Michele Tacchi, and drummer Alessandro Rossi, among the most eclectic and established rhythm sections within the Italian jazz scene.
Three generations confront each other, forming a quartet that blends the distinct personalities of its members, driven by the common goal of creating an original sound and exploring diverse musical genres, without barriers or prejudice. The group performs original compositions by Dulbecco and Tacchi, along with highly personal interpretations of standards from the great American song book.
The thin line between improvisation and writing is frequently blurred by the musicians’ creativity and interplay. This creates a sonic world that invites listeners to immerse themselves, and thus breaks down the imaginary “fourth wall” separating them from the stage.

Fourth Wall è il nuovo progetto di Andrea Dulbecco, unanimemente acclamato come uno dei più importanti vibrafonisti del panorama internazionale. Dulbecco guida un quartetto formato dall’astro nascente del pianismo jazz europeo Simone Locarni, dal bassista elettrico Michele Tacchi e dal batterista Alessandro Rossi, tra le sezioni ritmiche più importanti e consolidate degli ultimi anni, nonché tra i più eclettici e rilevanti esponenti del loro strumento.
Tre generazioni a confronto, che formano un quartetto che fonde le spiccate personalità dei suoi componenti, mossi dall’intento comune di creare un suono originale e di esplorare diversi generi musicali, senza alcuna barriera o pregiudizio. Il gruppo propone composizioni originali di Dulbecco e Tacchi, insieme a personalissime rivisitazioni di standards del grande repertorio americano. La sottile linea che divide improvvisazione e scrittura è spesso sfumata e resa invisibile dalla creatività e dall’interplay dei musicisti, intenti a dipingere un mondo sonoro nel quale gli ascoltatori sono invitati ad immergersi, abbattendo così l’immaginaria “quarta parete” che li separa dal palcoscenico.
